We heard at the Officers Meeting held at the Lord Hill on 26th Oct that the club Committee were still keen to leave the Federation. The issues were the cost of sending representation to the Presidents’ meeting and the fact they saw no benefits to the Club. Following a discussion it was clear that most Club Committee members wanted to leave, most regional reps, based on what their region told them, wanted to remain. The vote went in the way of the “remainers” by a close margin. However, the Club Committee may now take it to the Club AGM in March so be ready to voice your views to Al or at the AGM.
At our region meetings we discussed and agreed the following things;
– Tiddly Camping weekend is 5th -7th June, ticket only event.
– Charity donations to go to one charity a year. Also agreed to donate £200 to a charity in memory of Andy Jones.
– To send a wreath for Andy’s funeral in region or club colour scheme.
– To contribute some funds towards Andy’s wake.
– Confirmed the details for the region gazebo, 3×6 metres. Cost £998. Design attached.
